Whitney

Whitney was raised in Stamford and began practicing yoga there in 1997. Since then she has practiced at Kripalu and over 60 yoga studios in New York City. She would like to offer thanks to her teacher, Jonathan Fitzgordon of the Yoga Center of Brooklyn, for the years he spent sharing his knowledge of yoga and alignment. In an effort to experience yoga as it was originally created, Whitney whitneyreceived her training as a yoga teacher at the Sivananda ashram in the Bahamas. As well as teaching in the classical style, she also calls upon her background as a personal trainer to adapt the practice for everyone. In addition to her Anthropology degree from Penn State University, she is now studying at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in the clinical program. After graduation in July of 2008, she will begin to integrate massage therapy into her private yoga and personal training sessions.

Jill

Jill was introduced to yoga over 9 years ago and has been hooked ever since.  To deepen her practice she enrolled in a 200 hour teacher training in 2001 with Roberta Fortune Dale and began teaching while working full time in the financial services industry.   In 2004 Jill decided to follow her heart and made yoga her full time job and has never looked back.  Her intent as a teacher is to help each student to find joy, inner wisdom and health through each breath and movement.
